Twitter started its #music service last year with much anticipated hype. Its been an year now but it never really took off or gave any competition to other music discovering apps. Twitter’s #music service was built to provide users a brand new method for discovering music. It was typically attached with twitter and the method of discovering music was also adopted with the help of twitter. Twitter #music used tweets determine what kind of music and what all artists are creating buzz.
But from some time there has been no development in the Twitter’s #music iOS app and now Twitter has announced that it will officially remove Twitter’s #music app from the App Store. The users which are still using the the app will not be able to access the service after April 18th.
Bad news for Twitter, but still a lot to come for twitter in the coming future. We have to say, Twitter realized at last that it was finally time to pull the cord out of the plug.
Twitter does say that it will look for new ways to keep music in the mix.
