Well if you have updated your iOS 7 compatible devices to iOS 7.1 and wondering Apple has smashed all bugs, you might be wrong. Seems there are number of people who are facing issues with tethering after updating their idevice to iOS 7.1, you might not face the same issue but Apple’s Support Forums says so with a long thread of 16 pages.
Well actually the problem seems when a user is trying to save custom APN settings in iPhone’s Cellular menu. Apparently, Apple has now disabled users from setting up Personal Hotspot who are on carriers that are not official iPhone partners or if they don’t support the particular feature.
So it seems now that Apple is taking a strong step to stop the unauthorized access of the Hotspot feature, which is what Apple is good at. Now that’s a bad news for users who are using factory unlocked iPhones.
